SKILLS GAPS
A skills gap is identified as a skill that a population does not have but which is needed by that population to be successful in a desired environment. This is a global issue. Skills gaps are found between the transitions of high school to college AND college to career. There is a significant amount of research that documents this and which identifies skills that were once considered "soft skills" but are now considered
higher order skills. What is interesting is that whether a student goes to a 4-year or 2-year college or enters a certification program, the skills gaps are almost the exact same. Today's economy requires the types of skills that are only developed by increasingly more demanding experiences which are complemented by rigorous academic courses.
MyCollegeMax will provide students at the high school and college levels everything they need to develop the skills, habits of success, and sense of purpose in order to successfully transition on to the next level.
